Each lesson costs $20/hour/person. When you come as a group of 5 people, the lesson is $50/hour/group. Any additional person within the same group is $10.

The minimum time needed for a lesson is 2 hours. To become an expert, I recommend lessons of 3 hours.

I provide the material for the first lesson. This lesson is about the purpose of ethnographic design, its history and its use for nowadays. The minimum time for this lesson is two hours, since  there is a time of immersion, but I recommend lessons of 3 hours. Think that during a mission of ethnographic design, you might draw during 8 straight hours in every conditions of weather. The longer are the lessons, the better you will be prepared.

I recommend that you buy a portable field drawing board for the following lessons, large enough for papers up to the tabloid format. I also recommend that you buy acrylic tracing paper. A list of material is provided with the first lesson, with some addresses and advises.

The purpose of the ethnographic lessons is to bring you into the conditions of a field work, where you are looking for information to translate into graphic design. The graphic design is a complementary information to your writing, a way to translate an information to make it understandable to someone who does not know the field. If you don't know to design, I recommend that you take the drawing beginners lessons at first.

Those lessons are for adults and teenagers starting age 16. The ethnographic lessons involve a lot of efforts to collect the information, so you must be in good condition to follow those lessons. Complains and negative spirits are not permitted on the field. Week-ends and vacation trips might be organized at additional costs under field conditions, such bivouacs.

Every lessons are made outside, in the streets, the beach, cafes, restaurants, factories, museums. When sessions are longer than 2 hours, we organize a brunch of 1/2 hour after 2 hours' work. Every one brings something and share with the others. Some sessions are made inside the studio to prepare the exhibit and the publications.

When you pay the ten lessons in advance, you receive a discount of 10% for lessons of 2 hours and 15% for lessons of 3 hours. The schedule is provided during the first lesson. If you miss a lesson, you can assist to another lesson from another session, but you cannot have a refund. A lesson missed is a lesson lost, and this is the best way to get your motivations on focus.

You can leave the lesson after 2 or 3 hours but you must arrive on time since I give the instructions during the first hour and I assist you drawing during the remaining time of the lessons. If you don't arrive on time at the beginning of the lesson, the lesson is considered as lost, since I cannot accept the disturbance of late arrivals, unless your late arrival is scheduled and exceptional.

In the contrary of beginners drawing lessons, the ethnographic work appends in disturbing atmosphere, bad weather, people talking and questioning, loud music, wind, anything that is not usual for drawing. Discussion are not permitted during the lessons since the purpose of those lessons is to get your concentration deep into your work, whatever is the situation and the weather. Discussions are permitted during the brunch and after classes. During classes, there is no social connection between the students.
